Sidus Space (SIDU) has announced a strategic partnership with Saturn Satellite Networks to advance the development of the SBN-X platform, a next-generation geostationary (GEO) satellite solution. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between the two companies will focus on delivering a low-cost, high-performance satellite platform designed to meet the growing demands of global government and commercial markets.

The SBN-X platform is engineered to offer 5kW analogue payload and 100Gbps high-throughput, digital payload capacity, thus enhancing GEO satellite communications accessibly and affordably. As part of the agreement, Sidus Space will utilize its extensive manufacturing capabilities at its Cape Canaveral facility to support Saturn's satellite platform development through assembly, integration, and testing processes.

Saturn Satellite Networks CEO, Tom Choi, highlighted the partnership’s potential to strengthen the SBN-X platform by blending Sidus' agile manufacturing capabilities with Saturn's innovative satellite solutions. Both companies aim to deliver affordable next-generation satellite solutions, adequately addressing the rapidly changing space technology landscape.
