This facility is designed to address the needs of disconnected high school students by offering them a space to connect with their community and work towards educational and career success.
A 2023 report highlighted a concerning statistic: 1 in 5 youths aged 14 to 26 in Connecticut are disconnected from educational and employment opportunities. Synchrony, with its continued support of Future 5 for over four years, is actively working to bridge this gap. In the current year, 65 high school seniors involved in the Future 5 program achieved over 400 college acceptances from 117+ institutions, underscoring the initiative's success.
Key features of the partnership include the Tech Accelerator Program, a collaboration with District Arts and Education (DAE), which provides training in digital content creation, full-stack engineering, STEM fields, robotics, Gen AI, and 3D printing.
