1&1 AG is a German telecommunications provider offering mobile and fixed-line services to consumers and business customers. Its core Access segment supplies mobile contracts, broadband and internet access, plus related applications such as home networking, online storage, telephony, smart home and IPTV, and generates the majority of revenue. The 1&1 Mobile Network segment covers the company's own 5G network build-out, for which it has relied on national roaming agreements with other operators. The 1&1 Versatel segment provides business customers with fiber-based data connections, telephony and network solutions. The company operates primarily in Germany, marketing under the 1&1 and Versatel brands, and earns revenue mainly from subscription and usage fees. It is part of the United Internet group and is headquartered in Montabaur.
