Fidelity National Information Services Inc Frequently Asked Questions
Guru Commentaries on NYSE:FIS
Fidelity National Information Services (FIS) has raised its revenue outlook and met earnings expectations, despite being a detractor in the quarter. The manager sees more opportunity than risk for FIS, particularly as it helps bank customers develop stable coin capabilities. The stock was initiated at 9 times earnings and has shown good performance, even as it retreated recently. FIS has sold 55% of its acquisition of Worldpay and is set to acquire a credit card processing business from Global Payments, which should enhance its business mix. The manager believes that as the situation stabilizes, FIS's stock should return to a mid-to-high teens valuation.
Fidelity National Information Services (FIS) was a detractor for the quarter, but we believe its underlying fundamentals remain on-track. The upcoming purchase of Global Payment’s Issuer Solutions business and the sale of FIS’ remaining Worldpay stake will further improve FIS’ economic predictability and increase free cash flow conversion. Management continues to repurchase stock and recently increased the 2025 repurchase plan by $100 million to $1.3 billion, citing 'the share price is just too low. So, we see it as a value.'
Fidelity Information Systems (FIS) was the largest detractor in performance this quarter due to a poorly received earnings report with a conservative outlook. However, we continue to believe the company is significantly undervalued and we added to our position after the share price drop. This reflects our confidence in its long-term potential despite short-term setbacks.
