Good day, everyone, and welcome to the Assembly Biosciences Annual Meeting.
Now, I'll turn the call over to your host, Chairman, Anthony Altig. Please go ahead, Anthony.
Good morning. I'm Anthony Altig, Chairman of the Board of Assembly Biosciences and a candidate for re-election as a Director. Welcome to our 2026 Annual Meeting of Stockholders. Weâre holding this meeting on a virtual-only online platform.
Before we start with the formal business of the meeting, I would like to take a minute to recognize and thank my predecessor as Chairman, Bill Ringo, for all his contributions to the Board and to Assembly Bio. Bill joined the Board in 2014 and served as Chairman starting in 2015. Bill led the Board as the company underwent many changes, including the company's scope beyond strictly hepatitis B. Bill has elected not to run for re-election and to step down from the Board. We are thankful to Bill for all his many contributions to the company.
