The investment objective of the company is to provide Ordinary Shareholders with a total return, with an above average yield, primarily through investing in Latin American securities. It has a diversified portfolio consisting of equities, equity-related and fixed income investments with approximately 25% of its gross assets invested in equity and equity-related investments and approximately 25% of its gross assets invested in fixed income investments. Geographically, it derives a majority of revenue from Brazil. Its only operating segment investing in equity securities, debt instruments, and related derivatives.
