Region Group is an Australian real estate investment trust that owns and manages a portfolio of convenience-based retail centres, primarily neighbourhood and sub-regional shopping centres anchored by supermarkets and discount department stores. Its properties are located across Australia, with a focus on metropolitan and regional areas. The trust generates rental income from a diversified tenant base, with roughly half derived from specialty tenants in non-discretionary categories such as food and liquor, pharmacy and healthcare, and general services, and the remainder from anchor tenants including major supermarket chains. Specialty leases typically include fixed annual rent escalations, while anchor leases often combine base rent with turnover-based components. Region Group also undertakes select development and refurbishment projects, often in partnership with capital partners, to enhance and expand its existing centres. The trust is internally managed and listed on the Australian Securities Exchange.
