Bawag Group AG is an Austrian bank headquartered in Vienna, serving retail, small and medium-sized enterprise, corporate, and public-sector customers, primarily in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and other Western European markets. Its core business is retail and SME banking, offering savings and current accounts, consumer and mortgage lending, credit cards, leasing, investment products, and insurance through branch, online, and mobile channels. The bank also provides corporate lending, real estate and public-sector financing, and treasury services. Bawag operates the easybank direct banking brand and the PayLife payment services business, and it has expanded into German and Swiss markets through acquisitions and partnerships. Revenue comes mainly from net interest income on loans and deposits, supplemented by fee and commission income from payments, investment products, leasing, and insurance distribution.
