National Bank of Greece SA is the oldest and one of the largest banking groups in Greece, headquartered in Athens. It provides retail, corporate, and investment banking services through an extensive branch network and digital channels, offering mortgages, consumer and small business loans, debit, credit and prepaid cards, deposits, investment products, and bancassurance. Its operations also include leasing, factoring, brokerage, asset management, real estate management, and specialized asset solutions. The group serves individuals, small and medium-sized enterprises, large corporations, and public sector clients, primarily in Greece, with a presence in selected international markets. Retail banking generates the largest share of revenue, supplemented by corporate and investment banking, global markets and asset management, and international operations. Revenue comes mainly from net interest income on loans and deposits, together with fees and commissions from banking, insurance, and asset management services.
