EQB Inc is a Canadian financial services company that operates through its wholly owned subsidiary, Equitable Bank, which positions itself as Canada's challenger bank. It serves consumers and businesses across Canada through personal banking and commercial banking segments. Personal banking includes high-interest savings accounts, GICs, and residential lending such as alternative single-family mortgages, reverse mortgages, and insurance lending. Commercial banking provides specialized finance, commercial lending, equipment financing, and credit union and trust services. EQB funds its lending primarily through retail deposits raised under the Equitable Bank and EQ Bank brands, along with wholesale funding. The company also holds a stake in ACM Advisors and has expanded into wealth management through its acquisition of Concentra Bank, which added credit union and trust operations. EQB generates revenue mainly from net interest income on its loan portfolio and fee-based services.
