Emmaus Life Sciences Inc. is a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the treatment of sickle cell disease and other orphan diseases. Its lead product, Endari (prescription-grade L-glutamine oral powder), is approved in the United States to reduce acute complications of sickle cell disease in adult and pediatric patients aged five and older. The company markets and sells Endari directly in the U.S., where it is reimbursed by Medicare, Medicaid programs in all states, and many commercial payors.
