Geron Corp is a biopharmaceutical company focused on blood cancers. Its telomerase inhibitor, RYTELO (imetelstat), is approved in the United States and European Union for certain adult patients with lower-risk myelodysplastic syndromes (LR-MDS) with transfusion-dependent anemia. RYTELO inhibits telomerase activity in malignant stem and progenitor cells, which may reduce abnormal cell proliferation while supporting the production of healthy cells. It is also conducting a Phase 3 trial of imetelstat in patients with JAK-inhibitor-refractory or relapsed myelofibrosis (R/R MF) and studies in other hematologic malignancies.
