This week we saw notable increases and buys in Real Time activity from Mario Gabelli (Trades, Portfolio) and Robert Karr (Trades, Portfolio).

Mario Gabelli (Trades, Portfolio) adds Three

Over the past week, Mario Gabelli (Trades, Portfolio) made increases in to three of his holdings. These increases came right about the release date of his first quarter portfolio, which you can check out here.

Gabelli upped his holdings in BioScrip (BIOS) 175.48% by purchasing 1,436,777 shares of the company’s stock. The guru purchased these shares at the daily average price of $6.91 on May 5, and since then the price per share has dropped approximately -12%. Gabelli now holds on to 2,255,552 shares of the company’s stock, representing 3.33% of the company’s shares outstanding.

Also on May 5, Gabelli increased his holdings in Myers Industries (MYE). The guru increased his holdings 4.83% by purchasing a total of 194,130 shares of the company’s stock. He bought these shares at approximately $19.31 per share, and since then the price per share has increased 2%. Gabelli now holds on to 4,257,844 shares of the company’s stock, representing 12.66% of the company’s shares outstanding.

The last company Gabelli increased over the past week was in Zygo Corp (ZIGO). The guru upped his stake 28.45% by purchasing 164,700 shares of the company’s stock. He purchased these shares at $19.17 per share, and the since then the price per share is trading slightly up at $19.20 per share. Gabelli now holds on to 743,700 shares of Zygo, representing 4.02% of the company’s shares outstanding.

Robert Karr (Trades, Portfolio) cuts Tarena International (TEDU)

Over the past week Robert Karr (Trades, Portfolio) made a reduction to his holdings in Tarena. The guru cut his holdings -19.53% by selling a total of 364,000 shares of the company’s stock. Karr sold these shares at approximately $8.06 per share, and since then the price per share has dropped roughly -5% and is now trading at around $7.70 per share.

Karr now holds 1,500,000 shares of Tarena Stock, and is the only guru shareholder of the company’s stock.

Tarena International is a recently incorporated company that primarily provides information technology professional education services through part-time and full-time classes in China.
