Griffon Corp is a holding company with wholly owned subsidiaries including Ames, which provides nonpowered landscaping products; Clopay Building Products, which makes garage doors; Telephonics, which develops and manufactures integrated information, communication, and sensor systems for military and commercial markets; and Clopay Plastics Products, which makes specialty plastic films for healthcare and industrial applications. Ames sells a large portfolio of products to major retail centers, wholesalers, and distributors throughout North America, Australia, and Europe from its two U.S. distribution facilities. The other subsidiaries sell directly to a limited number of customers.
