Israel Chemicals Ltd is a global specialty minerals company. The firm extracts raw materials in three operating segments: fertilizers, industrial products, and performance products. The majority of revenue and operating income comes from the fertilizer segment, which produces potash, phosphates, and specialty fertilizers for the agricultural industry. The industrial products segment extracts bromine and produces flame-retardant products for electronics manufacturers. The performance products segment produces phosphate-based food preservatives. Israel Chemicals sells its products throughout the world. Most of its potash and bromine is extracted from the Dead Sea.
