The Cigna Group Business Description

Address 900 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield, CT, USA, 06002
The Cigna Group is a global health company operating through two platforms. Evernorth Health Services houses Express Scripts, one of the three dominant U.S. pharmacy benefit managers processing well over a billion prescriptions annually, plus Accredo specialty pharmacy, benefiting from biosimilar adoption and GLP-1 management programs, and care delivery and behavioral health services. Cigna Healthcare provides medical coverage for employer-sponsored plans, where it is a leading national carrier, individual exchanges, and international health markets; the company exited Medicare Advantage in 2025 by selling that business to HCSC to focus on its core franchises. Evernorth generates the majority of revenue, making Cigna more services-weighted than insurance peers. Tracing to 1792 marine insurers and formed by the 1982 INA-Connecticut General merger, Cigna is headquartered in Bloomfield, Connecticut.
