Bangkok Expressway Business Description

Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited, known as BEM, operates toll expressways and the MRT subway system in Bangkok, Thailand. The company manages the Si Rat Expressway and the Udon Ratthaya Expressway under concession agreements with the Expressway Authority of Thailand, collecting toll revenue from motorists. It also operates the MRT Blue Line and MRT Purple Line under concessions from the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand, earning fare revenue and commercial income from station advertising and retail space. BEM was formed through the merger of Bangkok Expressway Public Company Limited and Bangkok Metro Public Company Limited, and its shares trade on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. Its customers are primarily commuters and motorists in the Bangkok metropolitan region, and its operations are concentrated in Thailand.
