The Environmental Solutions Group builds specialty vehicles and equipment, including street sweepers, sewer cleaners, vacuum loader and hydro-excavation trucks, water blasting equipment, dump truck bodies, and trailers, sold under brands such as Elgin, Vactor, Guzzler, and Jetstream. The Safety and Security Systems Group produces warning and alerting systems, sirens, emergency lighting, and public safety communications equipment used by law enforcement, fire and rescue services, campuses, and industrial sites, marketed under brands including Federal Signal, Federal Signal VAMA, and TargetTech. The company sells primarily through a direct sales force and independent dealers, and generates most revenue from the Environmental Solutions Group.
