Combined Motor Holdings Ltd is a South African investment holding company whose principal business is motor vehicle retail and distribution. Through its dealership network it sells new and used passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, and heavy commercial vehicles across both volume and luxury brands, and it also operates a car hire division offering short- and long-term vehicle rental. Its financial services arm provides insurance and related products sold alongside vehicle purchases, including credit life cover for death, disability, dread disease and retrenchment, vehicle and component warranties, and vehicle financing arranged through joint ventures with finance houses. The motor retail and distribution segment generates the bulk of revenue, with car hire, financial services, and corporate services making up the remainder. The company operates primarily in South Africa and earns revenue from vehicle sales, parts and servicing, rental income, and insurance and finance-related commissions.
