First Potomac Realty Trust is a real estate investment trust engaged in the ownership, management, and development of commercial properties in the greater Washington D.C. area. The company's real estate portfolio is primarily composed of a mix of single-tenant and multi-tenant office properties and business parks. These assets are fairly evenly distributed between the Washington D.C., Maryland, Northern Virginia, and Southern Virginia regions in terms of square footage. First Potomac derives the vast majority of its revenue in the form of rental income from tenants. Most of this revenue comes from its properties located in Maryland and Northern Virginia.
