Tokio Marine Holdings Inc. is a Japanese insurance holding company and the parent of the Tokio Marine group, one of the largest non-life insurance groups in Japan. Its operations span domestic non-life insurance, domestic life insurance, and an extensive international insurance business. In Japan, it offers automobile, fire, marine, accident, and liability coverage, mainly through Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance, along with life products via Tokio Marine & Nichido Life. Overseas, the group operates in the United States, Europe, Asia, and other markets, with a large specialty and commercial insurance presence built through acquisitions such as Philadelphia Consolidated, Delphi Financial, Tokio Marine HCC, and Privilege Underwriters Reciprocal Exchange. Revenue comes primarily from premiums written across its non-life and life segments, supplemented by investment income, with a growing share generated outside Japan.
