Texas Community Bancshares Inc. is the bank holding company for Community Bank of Texas, a community-oriented financial institution headquartered in Texarkana, Texas. The bank gathers deposits from the general public and uses those funds, along with operating cash flow and borrowings from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas, to originate loans. Its lending activity centers on residential and commercial real estate loans, supplemented by commercial and industrial loans, construction and land loans, agricultural loans, and consumer loans. Deposits consist primarily of savings accounts, money market accounts, interest-bearing and noninterest-bearing checking accounts, and certificates of deposit. The company serves individuals, families, and small to mid-sized businesses across its East Texas and surrounding market areas through a network of branch offices. Revenue is generated mainly from net interest income, the spread between interest earned on loans and securities and interest paid on deposits and borrowings, along with fees on deposit and lending services.
