Q2 2019 Marubeni Corp Earnings Presentation Transcript
I am Fumiya Kokubu, President of Marubeni Corporation. I will briefly explain the key factors in our financial results for the 6-month period ended September 30, 2018. We announced our financial results last Friday.
For the 6 months ended September 30, 2018, net profit was JPY 152 billion, an increase of nearly JPY 50 billion over the same period of the previous fiscal year.
There are a couple of divisions we are concerned about, but overall, I think we achieved solid results.
In non-resources, core businesses achieved profit growth, mainly Power business; Agri-Input Business, which is centered on Helena; and Forest Products, which over the last several years has been of greatest concern, giving us confidence in these results.
