Sound Financial Bancorp Inc. is a bank holding company for Sound Community Bank, headquartered in Seattle, Washington. The bank provides traditional banking and financial services to individuals and businesses, primarily in the Puget Sound region and other markets in Washington state, with additional lending activity in California and Oregon. It gathers retail and commercial deposits and invests those funds, along with borrowed funds, into loans secured by first and second mortgages on one-to-four-family residences, including home equity loans and lines of credit, as well as commercial and multifamily real estate, construction and land, and commercial business loans. The bank also offers consumer loan products such as manufactured home loans, floating home loans, automobile loans, boat loans, and recreational vehicle loans. Revenue is generated mainly through net interest income from lending and investment activities, supplemented by fees on deposit accounts and other financial services.
