It was formed through the integration of Bank of Yokohama and Higashi-Nippon Bank, and its core banking subsidiary is Bank of Yokohama, one of the largest regional banks in Japan. The group provides banking, leasing, credit guarantee, and other financial services, primarily serving individual, small and medium-sized enterprise, and corporate customers. Its main market is the Kanto region, particularly Kanagawa Prefecture and the Tokyo metropolitan area, though it also operates through subsidiaries elsewhere in Japan and has limited international operations.
