Commercial National Financial Corp (PA) is a bank holding company whose principal subsidiary, Commercial Bank & Trust of PA, operates under a Pennsylvania state bank charter and provides full community banking services. The bank's primary business consists of gathering deposits and originating loans, including commercial, residential mortgage, consumer, and agricultural loans, for individuals, businesses, and municipalities. Its customers generally live and work in Westmoreland County and surrounding areas of southwestern Pennsylvania, and its branch network is concentrated in that region. Revenue is generated mainly from net interest income, the spread between interest earned on loans and securities and interest paid on deposits, supplemented by fees and service charges on deposit accounts and other banking services. The company also invests a portion of its assets in securities, and it faces competition from larger regional and national banks as well as other community institutions.
