It holds and manages a portfolio of federally guaranteed Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) loans, earning net interest income, and owns and services private education loans, including refinancing and in-school lending through its Earnest brand. Navient also provides business processing services, such as servicing and asset recovery, for government and institutional clients.
